SLT Laser

SLT Laser treatment is performed on site at Hills Eye Surgery.

SLT stands for Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty & is used to treat the following eye conditions:

Open Angle Glaucoma or Ocular Hypertension as either primary treatment or when the use of glaucoma drops is not effective. Glaucoma is an eye condition in which the pressure within the eye builds up causing damage to the Optic nerve and if left untreated can cause blindness.

The laser treatment is used to improve the drainage of fluid (aqueous) out of the eye thus lowering intraocular pressure.
